Position: Inside Technical Sales

Job Type: Full -Time, in person

In this inside technical sales role, you will help industrial customers solve real-world heating and control challenges. You will develop into a trusted product and applications resource for our clients.

Major Responsibilities

  • Work with industrial clients to design and recommend thermal solutions (heaters, sensors, and control systems) that meet their process and performance requirements.
  • Apply your understanding of industrial applications and problem-solving skills to size and select appropriate Zesta products, with support from senior engineers and sales staff.
  • Handle incoming calls and emails at the order desk, respond to technical and commercial inquiries, and accurately enter and process customer orders in a timely manner.
  • Monitor open orders, follow up on back-orders, coordinate with production and suppliers, and proactively update customers on status and delivery.
  • Support Territory Managers by preparing quotations, researching product options, creating basic layouts or bills of materials, and expediting priority orders.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of sales tools, templates, and processes, and assist with other duties and projects as assigned by your manager.
  • Receive training on Zesta products, applications, and systems, along with ongoing mentoring and opportunities to grow into more senior technical or sales roles.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Positive, personable attitude with clear and professional telephone and email communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset; enjoys working as part of a team.
  • Comfortable using math to calculate basic thermal requirements, pricing, and gross margins (training and tools provided).
  • Proficient with computers, including everyday use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), email, spreadsheets, and the ability to learn new software.
  • Self-motivated and organized, able to manage priorities and work with minimal supervision once trained.
  • Safety-conscious, reliable, and respectful in a shop and office environment.
  • Demonstrate technical aptitude and curiosity, with the ability to understand and explain industrial products and applications.
