Control Panels and Consoles

Control Panels and Consoles, CSA (Canadian Standards Association) approved, from the simple to the most complex systems, we will design and manufacture custom panels for any application large or small providing you a complete heating system to your specifications. We build for applications that require specific NEMA (National Electrical Manufactures Association) rated enclosures or easy controller package installation.

Zesta also has standard CSA (Canadian Standards Association) Control Panels that can meet system requirements with a convenient, ready-to-connect package.

Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other devices can easily be integrated into any design where necessary. Each panel comes fully tested and burnt in for 24 hours before it is shipped.

Available in one, two or three-zone versions.

The following are some sample applications.

Automotive

Automotive

Multi-zone control system records data and downloads new instruction sets.

The panel is capable of enduring a hostile environment while maintaining proper functioning of the control system. The system can run on a network or it can function on its own.

The 11-zone control system used an Anafaze® controller that had the capability of reading and controlling up to 16-zones. One control zone was used strictly for the cabinet temperature.

Each control zone had four alarm set points per zone and the whole system was tied into ten single SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifiers) power control assemblies. The system was provided with a vortex cooler to keep the cabinet temperature at a constant 77 °F (25 °C).

User was able to control, monitor, edit and extract data online or offline via programmed recording events within the controller. Project required portability, so unit had plug and cord set plus wheels.

Injection Molding

Injection Molding

Portable, multi-zone, mold control system could record data and download new instruction sets as they were created. A single control system that could also export data directly into Microsoft® Excel®.

The 24-zone control system was designed around an Anafaze® temperature controller. Each control zone had four alarm set points per zone and the whole system was tied into two Zesta ZPAC multiple-zone solid state power control assemblies.

The user was able to control, monitor, edit and extract data online or offline via programmed recording events within the controller.

Aviation

Aviation

A standardized panel for use worldwide for a jet aircraft engine manufacturer uses a single universal voltage for worldwide sites and is easy to use.

The control panel runs on 220 VAC single-phase, 50-60 Hz and is protected by a 5 mA ground fault circuit interrupter.

This control panel is operator-friendly with a plug-and-play feature for the different loads. It automatically recognizes the load and configures itself for the proper control functions.

The unit comes with a built-in surface probe, countdown timer with audible alarm, and multiple inputs for different load types.

Food Industry

Food Industry

An application for a pre-production set-up procedure in which food materials were warmed up before processing.

A cascade control system was implemented.

Ease of use system was designed so that the operators simply had to plug in the heater via a special locking receptacle and turn on the switch.

Each control was set with a minimum and maximum set point plus a retransmit output, which would allow the food company to record data.

Petro-Chemical Industry

Petro-Chemical Industry

A fast-cycling PID (Proportional, Integral, Derivative) controller, complete with a cascade control system.

Cascade control monitors the heater temperature and the material temperature simultaneously. It governs the maximum allowable temperature of the heater, while at the same time bringing the chemical up to temperature quickly and accurately.

In addition, the system incorporated a redundant high limit temperature control to disconnect power from the load in the event of a failure.
